Initiatives & Programs

The Missouri Energy Workforce Consortium develops and supports programs that strengthen the energy talent pipeline in Missouri. Through partnerships with educators, workforce systems, community organizations, and industry, we design initiatives that expand career awareness, grow local pathways, and connect learners to real opportunities in energy.

Career Awareness & Community Outreach

MEWC member companies, education/training institutions, and community organizations host and participate in career fairs, industry tours, classroom presentations, hands-on demonstrations, mentoring programs, workforce readiness workshops, internships, and community outreach events, and more that help introduce students and community members to careers in the energy industry.

These activities help participants explore energy career pathways, connect with industry professionals, build career awareness, and gain exposure to the diverse professional, technical, and skilled trade careers that power our communities.

Education & Training Partnerships

Through partnerships with K–12 schools, colleges and universities, career and technical education programs, and workforce training providers, MEWC works to increase awareness of energy careers and expand opportunities for students and job seekers. Together, consortium members are building stronger pathways that prepare talent for in-demand careers across Missouri's evolving energy industry.

Workforce Development Programs

MEWC champions apprenticeships, pre-apprenticeships, and other Missouri workforce initiatives that create pathways into rewarding energy careers. Our members work together to develop solutions that meet regional workforce demands while expanding opportunities for students, job seekers, and incumbent workers throughout the Show-Me state.
